Littoral Planting Day

Wow! What a great morning! Over twenty volunteers planted about 2,800 littoral plants around the Club
entrance just behind the chipping area and the pickleball courts and TwinEagles Blvd. This is going to look
fantastic when these sprigs have a chance to grow with the summer rain – bouquets of color from the canna lilies, purple iris, arrowhead, and pickerelweed.
This project is a great collaboration of the Audubon Committee, the TwinEagles HOA Landscape Committee, the Golf Course Landscape Crew and the Lake Bank Erosion Committee. Lots of people with lots of expertise and
different objectives came together to truly enhance our community. Not only will these plants enhance the
wildlife habitat, clean the water, and look great, these plants will add integrity to the lake bank to prevent
erosion and will be a source for planting in other ponds.

work you did! We look forward to the next littoral planting.
